Westhoughtons Eatock Primary School council meets Chris Green MP
CIVIC minded school children met one of Bolton's MPs this week to discuss a range of issues impacting youngsters.
This came when Bolton West MP visited Eatock Primary School on St George's Avenue, Westhoughton.
Mr Green, who has represented the area since 2015, took the opportunity to speak with some of the children, particularly those elected to the school council, about their education and their place in the wider community.
A statement issued by Eatock Primary said: "The School Council met Chris Green MP today and spoke to him about their roles and how they were elected.
"They spoke to him about what we discuss in our meetings and our ideas to raise money for the school, including the Halloween disco and a whole school anti-bullying assembly, which they will deliver in a couple of weeks.
"They asked him questions about his role and listened to him speak about how he represents his constituency."
Mr Green has been a parliamentary private secretary in the Department for Education since 2019, where his role is to assist education ministers in policy making.
